This collection features a series of vintage wooden boat photographs captured at the beloved Classic Wooden Boat Show in McCall, Idaho. My work tells a story of a bygone era when life was slower and craftsmanship was celebrated. I enjoy capturing the details, whether it’s a glimmer of sun shining off freshly polished chrome, or an elegant straw hat laying on the dash ready for its next adventure!

Through the use of digital technology, I’m able to capture a modern glimpse back in time, with crisp details and vibrant colors. For this series, I used a DSLR camera with prime lens creating creamy blurred backgrounds. With the use of a polarizing filter, I was able to cut through the glare on the water, capturing the vibrant color of the lake surrounding the boats. To finish, I took the photos into Adobe Photoshop to process each one individually, bringing out the details and enhancing the colors.
