Sweet Shot Tuesday Time!

by Misti on July 13, 2010

I shared this photo yesterday in my Weekend Update, but I just had to post it again for my Sweet Shot. This is from the Classic Car Cruise downtown this weekend. I’m totally in love with this car…I keep telling Steve I want to get it…not just any one…this one. The color is gorgeous and oh my goodness look at the roof rack…it’s totally ready for the beach!

Photo has been edited in Photoshop using Textures and Photo Veils by Love that Shot.

Thank you so much Susan!

Yes, you can use the veils in PSE. You use them just as you would a texture…just drop them over your photo, adjust the blending mode and opacity, and that’s it. I love them because they make editing my photos super-duper easy. You can find out more about them here.

wow Misti, nice shot, I take it you were at the cruise on Saturday night? Very sweet I like that you get just a hint of the tear drop trailer they are pulling behind them. love the color and the building behind the car looks like you were in the era of the car.

I love car shots! I’ve got several on my blog too! They’re so shiny and they don’t squirm around like kids do!

Oooooo!!!!!! FABULOUS! Which particular veils and textures did you use?

Reply

Misti July 14, 2010 at 8:22 pm

Thanks Mary! I used a texture from a collection that’s coming soon to Love that Shot. I also used “Brave” and “Fire” photo veils…those seem to be my go-to veils. I just love the effect they give my photos…a little bit of darkness and warmth around the edges. I set the veils to Soft Light blending mode, left the opacity at 100%, and used layer masks for the middle area of the photo to let the true colors show through.
