…seriously, how does it grow? I’m hoping the special ingredient is a whole lot of love…that I can do!
Meet the newest member of the family, we got him on Saturday. I am an absolute fanatic when it comes to chives. I’ll eat them on just about everything…aside from desserts, cuz that’s just wrong. I have one small problem though…I’m not sure I have a green thumb. I’m just hoping I don’t have the “Black Thumb of Death” that seems to run in my family! Since moving into our new house a few months ago, I’ve tried to keep several plants alive, only to see them sadly whither away. I blame the lack of sunlight. I’m not making excuses here, seriously…it’s the sun!
But I’m not giving up! Since it’s warm now, I’m putting him outside where the sun is at its best. I’m hoping that with a balanced diet of warm sunshine, refreshing water and a lot of love, he’ll grow up and make me proud. Here’s to a long life little guy!

Beautiful!
Those veils are my favorite to use!!!!
Thanks Rocio! Your post on wanting an IPad made me chuckle…the “Should I buy an IPad” chart is hillarious! You’ll have to let me know how you like it…I’ve been wanting a laptop lately, and then they come out with this…my “Want” list is growing way too big! lol
I love the editing work! I really makes that pot pop and the green glow! ‘nice work. I should do my before and after shot next week too!
Christie@MommyDrinksBecauseYouCry´s last blog post ..You have been warned
Thanks Christie! I love seeing Photographer’s before and afters…I’m that much more in awe of the awesome talent out there!
BTW, LOVE the title of your blog!
Nice shot! Good luck with growing them. I would like to grow parsley as I love that in most any food.
LOL! I have a black thumb too! It is so sad. I have two plants from my dad’s funeral last year and my mother-in-law (my mom is dead also) has to revive them every now and then. I’m serious! LOL
Just curious – what veil did you use? I used Pixie Kisses a shot for tomorrow (it’s already up at Flickr) and I loved that one. These things will be addicting, just like textures.
Amanda´s last blog post ..365-111 Veiled Wild Flowers
Thanks Amanda! I used these Photo Veils:
Chamomile with a Soft Light blending mode set to 100% opacity
Brave, Soft Light, 100%
and Fire, Soft Light, 50% (I erased the middle area with a large Soft Round Brush to take some of the orange off the green chives)
