Imagination.

by Misti on April 12, 2010

Imagination is more important than knowledge.“   –Albert Einstein

To me, imagination is everything! I remember when I was younger, I would often stare up at the sky, send my thoughts up there to float among the clouds. I remember how good it felt to be lost in the moment. When I ran across this quote today, this memory of when I was younger came flooding back…then it hit me! I haven’t done that in a really long time…and I kinda miss the feeling. Here I was, just a little girl where imagination was everything and I didn’t have a care in the world…and now…as an adult it seems like more importance is put on how much I know rather than what I can imagine. I think I’ll take it from a genius like Albert Einstein, it’s not what you know that’s important, it’s what you can imagine…

So, here’s to using your imagination!

LOVE these!!!!!!! Makes me want to go outside and photograph clouds right NOW! Just purchased the veils! Which did you use on the clouds?

Thanks so much for the beautiful, inspirational images.

Thanks Mary! I love photographing the sky…there are so many different colors you can bring out, depending on what time of day you shoot. You’re absolutely going to love the photo veils! I used Brave, Fire, and Marigold all set to Soft Light blending mode. I adjusted the opacity of the veil depending on what type of effect I wanted. I used the Fire veil at full opacity for the yellow-orange photo…that’s what makes the color so vibrant! I also added a photo texture (#14) to the photos as well. Have fun playing with your new veils…and please, visit the OpenScrapbook gallery and upload some of your photos…I would LOVE to see what you come up with!

Oh my gosh! These photos take me back to when I was a little girl (over 45 years ago now!) watching the clouds go by on a lazy summer afternoon, with not a care in the world. Great photos Misti!
